What's New...

I hope everyone had a GREAT Holiday Weekend!! If you missed meetings yesterday here is what's going on. In our Combined RS and Elders class Bishop wanted to touch on all the wonderful programs the church has for us to take advantage of. Lynn spoke to us for a few minutes about Family History and what an amazing tool the internet is in helping us do our Family History work! Oh by the way, all the Water bottles and filters are in so if you ordered some Lynn would really appreciate it if you would pick them up! Thanks! Then Dori spoke about her Temple Prep Class she teaches, if you are interested in taking any of the classes our Ward offers please let someone in the Bishopric know! Laura and Ramzi had their baby on Tuesday, they had a 6 lbs. 2 oz. little boy and they are thrilled!! She was there yesterday teaching the lesson, Kyle will never hear the end of it!! Sacrament was great, our two Sister Missionaries spoke to us and did a wonderful job. On a little side note, I brought an Investigator to Church with me Yesterday, she came to all three meeting and seemed to have enjoyed it. Her name is Mira, she lives down by Warren and I, and just Graduated from EHS. If you see her around be sure to say Hi, she is the sweetest girl! I am trying to help her find a job, preferably in St. George so if any of you know of anything please let me know!! Thanks!!

What's New...

I will admit to being a slacker this week, my kids woke up Sunday morning really missing their Dad so we took off for the day to a warmer climate to have some much needed Family time! I did call Marilyn and she said that announcements were pretty quiet and the only good news minute there was was Shirley Richardson got a vehicle running! We are excited for her. Marilyn also said Marsha gave an EXCELLENT lesson!! Her lesson came from Elder Hollands talk about not giving into temptation, sounds like for those of us that missed out better go and read his talk! It sounds like we no longer have Janitors coming into our Building each week, it is going to up to us as Ward members to take care of our Building. I know from the time I have spent cleaning the Church, it was already a big job, so we are really going to have to step up and make this work! If everyone is willing to help it will lighten everyone's load!! One little bit of news that I thought I would share, Jamie's Bridal Shower was on Saturday! She is Marrying Clint Gardner and will be living here in NewCastle, what a cute girl she is, we are so excited for them! The shower was a ton of fun and she had a great turn out! Thanks to all of you that came to support Jamie!

What's New...

Good News Minute was great as usual today, Sharla (Platt) went to Regional track in Idaho and took 2 - 1st places and 1 - 3rd place!! She is defiantly NewCastle's one and only track star!! Way to go Sharla! Lynn Lindsey has two grand kids graduating from HS this year, and Deb Fitz just got back from visiting Rye and Portia and their sweet new addition in NM! Fun stuff Ladies, thanks for sharing! Bea gave a much needed lesson on the importance of scriptures. How many of us take the time to read our scriptures each day? I know I need to do better at my personal reading and studying. My kids love to read the Illustrated Stories, I am good at that, but I do not read my scriptures like I should, we all need to make it an important part in our daily routines!! Thanks Bea for a wonderful lesson!!

What's New...

Hope you all had a WONDERFUL Mother's Day!! We had a full Good News minute! I hope I don't leave anything out, I was in Nursery for a while until I could convince Kirby he wanted to be there!! Gaylene got a wake up call from Justin this morning wishing her a Happy Mother's Day, He wanted to be the first and I'm sure he won!! She (hopefully) has heard from Jordan by now, we are so glad Missionaries get to call home on Mother's Day!! Tanner Laub got his Mission call, he is going to Ecuador!!! I am so excited for Tanner and so NERVOUS for Leah Jane, that is a LONG ways from home, Good Luck Tanner and Congratulations!! Mary Sanger will be a permanent member in our Ward, she is staying in Lund for good, we are thrilled to have her!! Christy is putting on a Quilt for Clint and Jamie, it will be set up at her house and she would LOVE any help with it!! Marsha had her 10th grand baby and Deb Fitz had her 7th grand baby, congrats to those two Grandmas!! The spotlight this month was on Christy Tullis, not Shari Reber. I'm sure I was not the only one that was confused, we wanted to clear that up and apologize for the mix up!! Cindy is looking for ANY old pictures of the old Church or Sunday School Buildings, if you have any or know anyone that has any PLEASE contact Cindy Cluett, Thanks!!
What a great Sacrament! Fawn's family did such a great job expressing their love and appreciation for her, I'm sure she was very pleased!! Thanks for a wonderful Sacrament Meeting Hulet Family, you all did great!!

What's New...

I missed Good News minute AGAIN! But this time I was in Primary for a minute. Sorry! So I don't have any news but what a wonderful lesson!! Cindy gave a great lesson on trials and struggles. Ginger, Wendy, TiAnna, and Dori had us all in tears with their touching remarks! Thanks so much to those sisters that share such tender feelings and emotions! I truly believe our Heavenly Father loves us and not only will he never give us more than we can handle, he will not make us go through our trials and tribulations alone! He is always there to comfort us, or sends an angel our way in our time of need. Thanks for the wonderful lesson Cindy, I really enjoyed it! Cindy also told us of her appreciation for Marilyn, I really want to second that and Thank not just Marilyn for all of her hard work and dedication, but also thank Cindy, Deb and Amy! They have a tough job and we all appreciate them so much!
