Great Relief Society Meeting!

Whether you attended our meeting on Sunday or our meeting during the week, you were blessed by having been there.

Sister Marilyn Tullis expressed gratitude to those who so willingly put together our meeting last week:  Elaine, Judy, and TiAnna.  She remarked with a twinkle and a smile "Oh, you should feel so guilty!" to those who did not attend.

Announcements:

GENERAL RELIEF SOCIETY MEETING will be held this coming Saturday, September 25 at the Stake Center in Enterprise.  A dinner will be served at 5:00 p.m. prior to the Broadcast at 6:00 p.m.  This is a special event held once a year prior to our October General Conference for all sisters 18 years old and older.  It is our time to receive the very most pertinent instruction for us as women in the church.  Please invite your family, neighbors and friends to join with us.

ALLIANCE FOR UNITY FOOD DRIVE, September 25, 2010.  The First Presidency has "invited us to join with others in donating non-perishable food items to the Utah Food Bank or local hunger relief agencies . . . high protein items such as canned meats or fish, chili or peanut butter are especially appreciated."  Please fill any box or bag and return it to the ward next Sunday, or it may be taken to the Beryl Junction Pantry at the Community Building.

Good News Minutes:

Sister Lynda Laub told us that she would be leaving for a trip to West Virginia with her mother. Enjoy, Sister Lynda!

Sister Terry Petersen had her daughter, Alicia, and six-month old granddaughter visiting with her.  What a proud Grandma!

Sister Eva Martin was privileged to attend the temple on Saturday and take our her endowments.  Congratulations!

Sister Deb Fitzwater had her mother, daughter-in-law, Portia and baby Knox visiting as well.  What fun!

Our lesson was given by Sister Bea Gubler.  She taught us of the great and marvelous blessings that come to us through the Restoration. Authority from God was once again restored to the earth, bringing the organization of the Church to us.  Many important truths have been restored bringing light to our lives.  She shared her touching testimony with us as she closed her lesson.  We were indeed filled with the light she radiated.

For those of you who missed our meeting last week, we're sorry you didn't make it.  We had a wonderful experience!  The theme was "Miracle From Heaven" taken from a video presentation by the same name.  Brother John Carson shared his conversion story with us, and we felt the spirit as he told of his experiences since moving to our ward.  He certainly shared a wonderful testimony with us, and we were touched by his experiences.

At the conclusion of Brother Carson's remarks, we viewed another video entitled, "Never a Better Hero".  (Fantastic Music with touching scenes from the Savior's life).  Sister Deb Christensen then shared her emotional testimony of her experience reading 'Jesus The Christ' and the impact that it has had on her life.  We could all take a page from her book as she has set a wonderful example for all of us.

At the conclusion of the evening, the video presentation of "His Hands" was viewed.  It brought many feelings and emotions to the surface and everyone felt they had been deeply rewarded for having attended such a special evening.

The fruit and veggie bar was a hit.  It all tasted so good and was a refreshing treat enjoyed by everyone.  We were encouraged to take paper hands that had been placed on the tables as a reminder that we are indeed 'His Hands' and to use them in service to our fellowmen.

Thanks to these three great ladies, we had a wonderful meeting!
TiAnna, Elaine, and Judy
